Message from the President

Wayne Bank, a subsidiary of Norwood Financial Corp, is a strong Community bank with a history of 140 years of service.

Founded in 1871 as a simple storefront operation, the Bank has grown to eleven Community Offices in three counties- Wayne, Pike and Monroe Counties.

With the addition of North Penn Bank headquartered in Scranton, PA, Wayne Bank will add a new county to our footprint with three offices located in Lackawanna County.

In total, Wayne Bank will have 16 Community Offices serving the financial needs of thousands of consumer and business customers in Northeastern Pennsylvania. We anticipate our software systems to be compatible by mid-August which means that current Wayne Bank customers will be able to stop in one of our locations in Lackawanna County in Downtown Scranton, West Scranton or in the Abington area to conduct their banking business in addition to having two more locations in Monroe County, one in Stroudsburg and one in Effort.

Former North Penn customers will be able to conduct their banking transactions at any Wayne Bank location at that time as well. We look forward to meeting our new neighbors in Lackawanna County, and former North Penn customers can rest assured that those familiar faces who have been handling your accounts will remain as part of Wayne Bank. You can Bank with Confidence at Wayne Bank.

Notice of Changes in Temporary FDIC Insurance Coverage for Transaction Accounts

All funds in a "noninterest-bearing transaction account" are insured in full by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation from December 31, 2010, through December 31, 2012. This temporary unlimited coverage is in addition to, and separate from, the coverage of at least $250,000 available to depositors under the FDIC's general deposit insurance rules. The term "noninterest-bearing transaction account" includes a traditional checking account or demand deposit account on which the insured depository institution pays no interest. It also includes interest on lawyer trust accounts (IOLTAS). It does not include other accounts such as traditional checking or demand deposit accounts that may earn interest, NOW accounts, and money-market deposit accounts. For more information about temporary FDIC insurance coverage of transaction accounts, visit www.fdic.gov.
